Retail stores have been closing quicker, and quicker with the online shopping competition. The latest store to announce their closing is Charming Charlie.
The women's fashion accessory retailer has filed for bankruptcy for the second time in two years and announced Thursday it will close all of its stores.
They now have 260 stores that will be affected and three of those are in the Charlotte Metro area:
- 7832 Rea Road, Charlotte
- 8204 Ikea Blvd., Charlotte
- 16925 Birkdale Commons Pkwy., Huntersville
Charming Charlie said in the filing it expects its liquidation sale to take about two months.
It's been sad to see all these stores close. I used to always get my friend's birthday gifts at Charmiing Charlie, so now that they're closing, I guess I'll just have to plan ahead and look online.
