UPDATED. A very scary and unfortunate scene happened earlier today when an explosion occurred in a Ballantyne neighborhood.
UPDATED: 6:08am 7/3/2019:
Inspectors will return to the Ballantyne home this morning to further investigate what caused this house explosion. It has unfortunately been confirmed that a woman has been killed and a man is seriously injured. The $1.2 million home has been reduced to rubble.

One man was air lifted that was found in the home yelling for help.
CFD tells me this is considered a rescue mission right now. They’re told by neighbors people were believed to be inside the home during the explosion. No confirmation on how many. First responders first priority right now is to make sure everyone is safe. @WBTV_News https://t.co/NlqbJRqwQB
