A local fisherman cam across what he thought was a flesh eating fish right here in the Catawba River.

Luckily for any of us that swim in the river, it was not a Piranha but a distant cousin of the Piranha. It is not flesh eating even though it does have teeth. But no, this fish AKA a Pacu, should not be in the river.
