It's no secret that Jay Z has built a huge empire from the ground up, but today was a huge moment for the hip hop mogul; Forbes has officially declared Jay-Z hip-hop's first billionaire.
Jay Z's wealth has accumulated through various deals in liquor (Armand de Brignac and D’Ussé), cash investments, art collections, real estate, streaming services, his record label, and music catalog.
Some people might be confused, as Dr. Dre sold his brand Beats by Dr. Dre to Apple for $3 billion a few years ago but while his company is worth billions, Dre's personal net worth is $850 million... still not bad!
Regardless, congrats to Jay Z!
