UPDATE: Lockdown Lifted On UNCC Campus

UPDATE: 12 hours after UNCC's deadly shooting @NinerAlerts are telling UNCC students that all is clear and the lockdown has been lifted.

Sources tell NBC that UNC Charlotte students were giving a presentation in a classroom when the shooting occurred.

The suspect is in police custody and has been charged with 2 counts of murder, 4 counts of attempted murder, 4 counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, possession of a firearm on educational property and discharging a firearm on educational property.

Niner Alerts still say that exams will remain canceled through Sunday and they will evaluate how to proceed after that. The University remains in a C2 suspended operations status.
