Keanu Reeves Has Been Secretly Donating Millions To Children’s Hospitals
There’s nothing better than hearing when celebrities do good for others.
The MRL Morning Show is HUGE on children’s hospitals. Take our Secret Santa, for example! So when we got word of what Keanu Reeves was doing…we were all about it and hopped on the idea of showing support.
The actor has apparently been running a private charity foundation for over a decade now to fund cancer research and children’s hospitals. It’s not like he never mentioned it though. Back in 2009, he reportedly talked about the foundation in an article explaining why he doesn’t like his name attached to it – he just wants to let the foundation do what it does best, which is helping the people who need it.
The motivation behind all of this giving came when his sister, Kim, was diagnosed with leukemia back in the 1990s. Thankfully, it later went into remission, but that didn’t stop Keanu Reeves from wanting to make a difference. The star has also reportedly donated to other charities, like the Spinal Cord Opportunities for Rehabilitation Endowment charity which supports hockey players with spinal injuries.
All in all, the actor has been secretly donating millions over the last decade, and we couldn’t love the actor any more than we do right now!
