Here’s how the city is celebrating.
Today is a big day in the Queen City!
On December 3, 1768, Royal Governor William Tryon signed a charter that assigned the boundaries to what would eventually become Charlotte.
The city will honor the anniversary with a huge party on the square at Trade and Tryon streets from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m! Streets around the square will close at 6 a.m. and will not reopen until 5 p.m.
RSVP for a 250th Celebration that you won't want to miss!???? Meet us Uptown Mon., 12/3 for live music, food trucks & more: https://t.co/oMF85hDraG#Charlottesgotalot #CLT250 #Charlotte #QueenCity #exploreCLT #CLT pic.twitter.com/WHWj64O3n8
