Investigation Underway After Body Found In Indian Trail

Officers in Union County are currently investigating after a body was found in Indian Trail.

The body, identified as Robert Puckett, 28, was located in a wooded area near Van Buren Drive.

The community has a relatively low crime rate so undoubtedly news of the finding has residents concerned.

According to the Union County Sheriff's Office, Puckett worked for a business nearby.

At this time, his cause of death is not known.

An autopsy has been ordered to determine how he passed away.

Police are still investigating to determine how long Puckett's body had been in the woods.
