One Dead After Overnight Shooting In Ballantyne

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating after a man was shot and killed overnight in a parking lot in Ballantyne.

Officers received a call for help on Conlan Circle shortly after 2:10 a.m. on Saturday.

When they arrived on scene, they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound in a parking lot outside Blue Olive Lounge.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time, his identity has not been released to the public.

Police remain at the scene, and are still gathering evidence and speaking with witnesses.
