Flash Flood Emergency Declared In Parts Of Charlotte And Beyond

While Florence has been downgraded to a tropical depression, it is still causing a lot of issues due to heavy rain.

According to WSOC-TV, due to lingering rain and heavy downpours, a flash flood emergency has been issued for parts of our area, including Mathews, Union County, southeast Charlotte, and Mint Hill.

The flash flood emergency should not be taken lightly, as your property and life could both be in danger.

Residents are urged to stay off of the roadways due to downed trees and flooding. Additionally, several local roads have washed out.
