Post Malone just broke a record that Michael Jackson has held since the 80s.
The 23-year-old Texas hip hop artist has done something that no one else has done in 34 years. Not only has he broken a record that has been held for 34 years but it’s been held by an iconic artist. Post Malone’s “Stoney” just broke Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” album chart record.
Up until now, the King of Pop’s “Thriller” has held the record for the album that has spent the most weeks in the Top 10 on the R&B and Hip-Hop Albums chart with 76, but now the record officially belongs to Post Malone as we enter his 77th week on the Top Ten chart.
Some notable songs on the album are songs such as “White Iverson” and “Congratulations.” To put into perspective how mind boggling this is, Jackson reached his milestone back in the 80s, 11 years before the new record holding artist was even born!
