A Major McDonald’s Fail…

Is it too late now to say sorry? McDonald's is apologizing to a pregnant customer who was not loving it...

Upon ordering a latte at a McDonald's location in Alberta, 32-week pregnant and mother of 2, Sarah Douglas, was served cleaning solution instead! Yes, you read that correctly... cleaning solution.  As she took a sip she instantly knew something wasn't right, so she went back to the restaurant to address it when she was told about the mix-up.

The employee explained that there were two cleaning lines hooked up to the machine, causing her to be served a cleaning solution rather than her coffee.  The spokesperson for McDonald's issued a formal apology and explained the incident in further detail: "What happened is that the machine was being cleaned--as it is every morning.  Unfortunately, the milk supply line was connected to the cleaning solution while this guest's drink was made." She further elaborated saying "we have taken immediate action to review the proper cleaning procedures with the team and have put additional signage up as an added reminder."

As of now, the expecting mother has not taken legal action but she issued a statement of her own: "as a mother, I want to make sure I have a voice and that I'm being heard in terms of the safety of consumers, and how (alleged) negligence can affect people in such a drastic way."

McDonald's, you've got some explaining to do.....
