Earlier, we reported that Smoke Dawg had passed away at the age of 21.

According to Global News, the rapper was gunned down outside a Toronto Club on Saturday evening.

Two other people were shot during the ordeal.

All three victims were transported to a nearby hospital, where Smoke Dawg succumbed to his injuries.

The rapper was a tour mate of Drake's.

After hearing about his death, Drake took to his Instagram Stories to share a heartfelt post with fans.

In the post, Drake said it's devastating to hear about all the rappers who have been tragically shot and killed lately.

Drake called for peace in his post and acknowledged that with these lives lost, these are stories we never get to see play out as they should.

He concluded the post by saying rest up to Smoke.
