Pregnant Teen Has Died After Police Chase In North Carolina
An 18-year-old woman who was pregnant has passed away after a police chase in Eden, North Carolina.
According to CBS 17, a state trooper attempted to stop a speeding vehicle on Friday evening, however the car did not pull over.
A police chase ensued, and the driver reportedly crashed into a tree a short time later.
The teen, identified as Meranda Leigh Galindo, was a passenger in the vehicle.
Both the driver and Galindo were transported to a nearby hospital, where the teen passed away as a result of injuries she sustained during the crash.
Authorities are still investigating the incident but have said charges are expected to be filed against the driver of the vehicle.
