Yeezus is back, and his new album is bringing him one step closer to making history.

It's been two years since Kanye's last number one album The Life of Pablo, popular for its gospel influence and its endless list of collaborators. Now, Yeezus is back with another number one album on the "Billboard" album chart and it could bring him one step closer to breaking music records.

With 208,000 album units moved in the first week, not only does it make the fifth largest week for an album of the year, but it also means that Kanye is now tied with both Eminem and the Beatles for the longest streak of number one albums.

Although it had a successful week, Ye had mixed reactions from critics and fans. Rolling Stone Magazine says "It's a grim year to be a Kanye fan" and that his album was both "chaotic and insecure." Many are a little upset about its short total run time of just 23 minutes, while others are praising it for returning to the roots of his earlier records. But hey, an album that splits everyone down the middle might just be classic Kanye.
