According to the CBC, the victim, identified as Jaiden Jackson, dined at Pick 6ix before leaving with a woman.
Jackson and the woman were walking outside the restaurant when a car pulled up and opened fire.
The victim tried to escape the gunfire by running to a nearby parking garage, but the car followed him.
Jackson died as a result of the shooting.
It's not clear if the victim was targeted or if this was a random attack.
As of this posting, police have not named any suspects in the case but are searching for three people in connection with the crime.
The restaurant is co-owned by Drake and a member of his security team, and just recently opened back in February.
