Play Anything Day 2018: Meet Rachel!

Rachel is 11 years old, loves Hello Kitty and One Direction, but had to have open heart surgery that would forever change her life.

On Play Anything Day, we ditch the format and play ANY song of ANY format for a donation of any amount that goes straight to Levine Children's Hospital.

When Rachel arrived at Levine Children's Hospital she had a collapsed lung and had to have emergency open heart surgery. As if that's not scary enough, she got an infection from a blood clot that would change the rest of her life. Due to the blood clot, her foot was partially amputated in an attempt to save it, but due to further complications, the doctors had to have the rest of her leg amputated. These are things you don't think to prepare for. These are things you don't expect to happen to a normal kid living a normal life, but the reality of it is...these things do happen.

When these things do happen, Levine Children's Hospital is ready. They're ready to give you the best care and the best support they can. That's why we do days like today. This is our 7th Annual Play Anything Day and each year - our passion gets stronger!

Rachel may have had to endure a lot at Levine, but she's still a normal eleven-year-old! She loves One Direction and Hello Kitty so of course, we had to play some 1D for her!
