Charlotte teachers are on their way to Raleigh, North Carolina this morning in hopes of making history.
It started as 2,000 teachers wanting to take the day off to head to Raleigh to protest for certain things, and now there are 15,000 N.C. teachers expected to gather in Raleigh for the largest teachers rally in state history.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools have made today an option teacher workday as teachers head to Raleigh to fight for higher pay, more money to educate students, lower healthcare costs, and for the state to do something about NC children living in poverty.
Today we opened up the phone lines so we could get a teacher's perspective and show our support for the teachers.
