Could Divorce Be Contagious?
With divorce rates rising, we’ve got to ask: is divorce contagious?
According to this new study, 35% of people got divorced after their friends got divorced. Participants of the study were 75 percent more likely to become divorced if a friend gets a divorce. Geez! In this day and time, this news doesn’t seem too hard to believe.
Celebrities get divorced after being married for just a couple of months. Other couples are getting married young and divorcing early, whereas some people are just marrying because they feel like it’s the right time to do so. Heck, there’s even a show about divorce on Netflix called Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce! With the way society is nowadays, it’s definitely not hard to believe that divorce is, in fact, contagious!
