Forget working out for a summer body, work out for long term mental health.

A study that spanned over four decades measured 191 women with a bicycle test to measure their cardiovascular activity. The women were then tested for dementia and there were some cool findings. Among the high fitness women who did develop dementia, the onset was an average of 9.5 years later than that of women in the moderate fitness group.

Physical fitness is associated with better brain health, so if being more fit can keep off dementia even longer... sweat doesn't seem like a bad price to pay!
