Sure, grabbing a bottle of water on the go is convenient, but is it healthy?

A new study published on WSOC paints concerning news regarding what you consume when you drink a bottle of water.

The State University of New York at Fredonia conducted a study involving 259 bottles of water.

What they found was more than 90 percent of these bottles were contaminated with plastic particles -- At a rate of double the contamination found in water from the tap.

Researchers tested popular brands of water, such as Nestle Pure Life, Dasani, Aquafina, and more.

Right now, scientists are not sure what type of health effects are associated with consuming the plastic particles, however, similar chemicals found in the bottles have been linked to various diseases such as cancer, autism, ADHD, and more.

Will these findings make you rethink your bottled water consumption?
