Barbra Streisand Clones Her Dogs…Twice

In a recent interview with Variety, Barbra Streisand revealed that she has cloned her dog, Samantha. Samantha passed away in March and Barbra thought it would be a good idea to splurge on two new pups. Miss Scarlet and Miss Violet would go on to be the center of attention as major media outlets and Twitter provided support and criticism.

Personally, I would not clone my dogs even if I did have the funds. Of course, we all love our pups, but is $50,000 per really worth it when you can just go buy the same looking breed? Yes you can claim the DNA is the same, but it isn't like you're cloning the small characteristics that make the bond between you and your pet special. Not a fan, but maybe some are. At least the clones are super cute.
