An Australian couple was rescued soon after they wrote out "HELP" in the sand. No, this is not out of a movie!

Talk about convenient! A couple from Australia ended up shipwrecked on a deserted island, appropriately named Avoid Island. They decided to write "HELP" in the sand using big letters in the hopes that a rescue team saw it and came down to save them.

The couple was on a fishing trip when a storm brought waves close to 17-feet high, throwing them overboard and washing their boat along the shore with them. They were stranded on the beach for about 8 hours. Once rescue helicopters flew by and saw their SOS, they were quickly freed.
