Dating is tough enough, but some people seem to live off making the first date as horrible as possible. But if you're the type that just doesn't know what or what not to do, eHarmony users are here to help. So basically, this is what not to do on the first date:
- Be rude to service people- Don't be a jerk to people there serving you, it's one of the fastest ways to ensure you won't be getting that second date.
- Constantly check your phone- You're there to see them, not stare at your phone. Besides its probably one of the rudest things, you should be paying attention to your date.
- Talk about your ex- Nothing makes someone feel as uncomfortable as when the other person can't stop talking about their exes. We all have them but we all don't want to hear about yours.
- Swear too much- If every other word is expletives, you're not cool, you sound rude and immature. So tone it down on the first few dates.
- Refuse to pay your way- Don't assume our date will pay just because we're women. At least offer to split the bill or take turns paying.
- Show up late- If you can help it, don't be late.
- Constantly check your appearance- It's a pretty big turn off to see your date constantly checking themselves out every chance they get.
- Come on too strong- Show your interest, but don't creep. If they say no its a no, there's a fine line and do not cross it.
- Offer unwanted life advice- Please don't mansplain our own careers or lives to us. We're good, thanks.
