It’s safe to say that Oprah Winfrey stole the show last night.
Winfrey received a total of three standing ovations at the 2018 Golden Globes on Sunday! Making history as the first African American woman to receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award, she gave the most inspirational speech of the night. She mentioned influential women like her mother, Rosa Parks and Recy Taylor.
Winfrey graced the stage dressed in all black in support of the #TimesUp pro-equality in the workplace and anti-sexual harassment fundraising campaign.
“I want all the girls watching here and now to know that a new day is on the horizon! And when that new day finally dawns it will be because of some magnificent women, many of whom are in this room tonight, and some phenomenal men!” says Winfrey as she receives her final standing ovation.
