The Teal Pumpkin Project was launched in 2014 to help raise awareness about food allergies. If you see a house with a teal pumpkin outside, it means that that house has a non-food treat option to pass out to children who may have food allergies.
Many kids suffer from food allergies, and some that can be life threatening, so the Teal Pumpkin Project makes sure that kids with food allergies still get to enjoy Halloween festivities.
