As technology continues to grow, all that means is more opportunities for hackers and scammers. Producer Nicole tells us how she thinks someone is currently trying to scam her through a popular new app.
If you haven’t heard of the Venmo app, it’s basically an app that allows you to pay and receive money from friends. You connect your bank account to it and your friends on the app are based on your Facebook friends. All in all it seems pretty safe. Last week, Producer Nicole noticed an unrecognizable user payed her a pretty large amount and then looked like he was trying to cancel it, then request it back, and then ended up paying it again.
