The registered charity started in 1967 and in the last five years alone the charity has rescued and found homes for more than 1,000 cats, 290 rabbits and 262 dogs. Ellen Frey-Woute, who passed away at age 88, with no children to inherit her $3 million dollar estate decided Troy and Tiger would inherit the $300,000 to cover all health care, food, and grooming expenses for the rest of their nine lives as they are now cared for by two of her former health care aids.
