‘SpongeBob’ Fan Theory is Hilarious, Yet Debunked
If you are a fan of the Nickelodeon cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants, then you know the Krabby Patty has a secret ingredient.
Throughout the show’s run, Plankton was desperately searching for the answer. Needless to say, fans have also been trying to figure out the ingredients. According to one fan theory, which was posted by BuzzFeed, they thought they found the answer.
The fan theory speculates that the secret ingredient in the Krabby Patty is actually crab. Yes, that is right, this would mean that Mr. Krabs would be a cannibal. Not to mention, all of the fish would stop by to get their hands on a burger would also be eating their own breed.
Not to worry though, your precious childhoods are not officially ruined. Nickelodeon took to Instagram to debunk the theory. On one user’s page @Daquan, the cartoon company stated: “We can 100 percent confirm Krabby Patties are not made of crabs.”
Even though the company personally debunked the theory, fans are still speculating the concept. First of all, there are not a lot of crabs living in Bikini Bottom. The main reason why audiences do not see a lot of the bottom feeders is Mr. Krabs keeps killing them! Fans also stated that in the episode “Mid-Life Crustacean” Mr. Krabs taste a bite of a Krabby Patty. As soon as he tastes his famous burger, he states “So that’s what I taste like.”
Yes! We are gasping too. We mean, why else would Mr. Krabs state that after eating his own burger. Does this mean that there is a Sweeney Todd scenario going on under the sea? Nickelodeon, if you are reading this, you should release a special SpongeBob episode where they reenact the famous musical. We are sure all of your adult fans would go nuts.
So, what do you think? Do you believe Nickelodeon or is the proof in the actual episodes?
