In yesterday’s dirty, LauRen informed us that Ed Sheeran was no longer on Twitter due to the trolling he was getting after his cameo on the Season 7 premiere of Game of Thrones. That may have been yesterday’s news but today we are finding out that there could be a different reason why he deleted it in the first place.

We’ve all been there before.. contemplating whether or not we should take a social media hiatus. While some of you may actually follow through with it, it’s typically only a matter of time before you reinstate your social media page. Ed Sheeran proves he is no different.

It was thought that Ed Sheeran shut down his Twitter account due to negative feedback on his Game of Thrones cameo considering his departure was almost immediately afterwards, but now sources are telling us that may not be the case.

“The Huffington Post” seems to believe that his Twitter departure had something to do with a recently published Buzzfeed article titled, “24 Tweets Ed Sheeran Will Probably Delete Soon.” That article features several old tweets that could be taken as sexist.

Check out the article & tell us your opinion on if you think his 24 hour Twitter hiatus was due to the Buzzfeed article or his Game of Thrones backlash. Tweet us! @TheMRLshow
