Fifth Harmony Gives Heartfelt Reason For Keeping Group Name
It seems to be the ‘curse’ of group bands. They get together.. they become loved worldwide, both as individuals as well as a group, and then they split. We’ve seen it time and time again. Justin Timberlake, who started with NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, One Direction, and now the beloved Fifth Harmony. When Camila Cabello left the group to pursue a solo career, the number one question was, “What are they going to do with their name?” Fourth Harmony? They finally gave an answer & it will give you all the feels. Fifth Harmony sat down with MTV News after dropping their new single ‘Down’ as well as having a new album on the way. The remaining four of Fifth Harmony: Lauren, Normani, Ally, and Dinah answered a lot of the questions people have been wondering about. Lauren answered the question on if they were planning to change their name.
“It was obviously like, I feel like a thought, just because it was obviously a prevalent thing that there was four of us and not five but, regardless, we were all very united on the fact that we didn’t want to change the name,” she continued saying “Fifth Harmony is the name that we grew with and we worked for. It’s our brand it’s who we are. It’s our whole entire moments – what we’ve spent five years on, you know.”
