The bottom line is Americans sure do love them some retail therapy.
It's the Holidays.. we are supposed to be out shopping for other people & doing thoughtful things.
In a perfect world right? Let's be real.. sometimes life is just stressful and new research reveals that retail therapy really does exist and it makes up more than a fifth of all shopping purchases.
A new survey of 2,000 people across the country found that the average American spends a whopping $1,652 per year on purchases solely to cheer themselves up.
