Here are a few ideas for things to do as a couple this winter that will bring you closer together and won’t cost you a thing.
Now that the days are shorter and colder, you’re probably not heading to the park for a free date night like you did over the summer. But this season still has plenty for you and your main squeeze to do, aside from the old dinner and a movie deal.
Have a book club for two - Sure, you could always start another Netflix series, but when you’re ready for a TV break, reading the same book could be a fun way to change it up. Pick a book you both want to check out and read it at your own pace over a month and then talk about it when you’re finished. And you can probably find multiple copies of a book from the library, so you can do your book club for free.
Do a skills share - If you and your partner have some skills you could teach each other, this is the perfect time of year to share your knowledge. Maybe one of you is handy with tools and the other is a great cook, or one of you can knit and one of you can speak Italian, whatever your skills are, you can exchange your expertise and have fun doing it without spending a dime.
Feel good together - Soothe your dry winter skin and stretch away your aches and pains with some special self care. Crank up the heat and start with a DIY hot yoga sesh to get your blood flowing. Follow that up with a relaxing soak in the tub, together if you can make it work. Then give each other a rubdown and get rid of any remaining tension. It’s like your own spa night and clothing is optional.
