Prosecutor Pulls Gun Out After Seeing Fake Spiders
An assistant prosecuting attorney in West Virginia has been reprimanded for pulling out a pistol after seeing fake spiders hanging in his office building.
The incident happened earlier this month after the office displayed Halloween themed decor — complete with fake spiders.
Assistant Prosecutor Chris White, who has been with the practice for five years, was apparently so frightened by the display that he pulled out his pistol.
While White did not point the weapon at the poor, innocent (fake) spiders, he did wave the gun around and threatened to shoot the spiders down from the ceiling.
The gun was later determined to be unloaded, however, White has been suspended indefinitely.
White blames arachnophobia, which is a fear of spiders, for his bizarre behavior.
Do you think he should be fired?
